Shelly says that her mindset had much to do with how well she coped with HF.
Transcript
The doctor came out and she was a resident. And she came out and she said – she was asking me all these questions and then after she did my angiogram, about a week or two later she came and see me upstairs on the floor and she said ‘You know what? When I read your papers I didn’t expect to see you.’ I go ‘What do you mean?’ And she goes ‘You look really bad on paper.’ She said ‘I didn’t expect you to be able to walk from your bed in the hospital to the washroom in your room.’ She said ‘That’s how bad on paper you look.’ Like I didn’t feel that bad, but again I think it’s too, it’s all mindset and how like I was born congenital but I was never treated like I had a disability. Like my parents, my friends like never treated me any different. Never treated me like I was sick. And I think that had a lot to do with it, like your mindset.
